Israel "Magnifico" Vázquez(born December 25, 1977 in Mexico City, Mexico) is a Mexican professional boxer. He is the former World Boxing Council(WBC) Super-Bantamweight champion, and a former International Boxing Federation(IBF) Super-Bantamweight champion. He has an overall record of 41-3 (with 30 wins by KO).
On December 3, 2005 Vázquez beat Oscar Larios by TKO on 3rd rounds, for the WBC world championship title. His trainer is Freddie Roach who is a very famous trainer.

In his most recent bouts he knocked out the WBO Bantamweight champion Jhonny González (who was moving up in weight) on September 16, 2006. In his next bout, however, Vazquez lost his title to Rafael Marquez, on March 3, 2007. Vazquez knocked Marquez down in the third round, but was behind on two judges scorecards when he decided to quit due to an injured nose.
