Arnold-Vanderlyde

  Arnold Petrus Maria Vanderlyde (born January 24, 1963 in Sittard, Limburg) is a former boxer from the Netherlands, who participated in three Summer Olympics and won three bronze medals in the heavyweight division, starting in 1984 in Los Angeles, California. He started boxing at age fifteen.

He became European champion three times, and won the Dutch title seven times. Vanderlyde never became a pro. During his heights he was stopped several times by Cuban legend Félix Savón, such as in the final of the 1986 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Reno.
